Our Journey

Sit back and relax as we travel through the beautiful English countryside into the heart of the Chiltern Hills, arriving in the picture-postcard village of Turville at approximately 11am

Discover Turville

Nestled in a peaceful valley in Buckinghamshire, Turville is one of England’s most photographed villages. With its traditional cottages, village green, historic church and charming atmosphere, it feels like stepping back in time. The village has featured in numerous television programmes and films, most famously The Vicar of Dibley, but it is perhaps best known for its connection with the classic family film Chitty Chitty Bang Bang.

Overlooking the village is the famous Cobstone Windmill, used as the home of the Potts family in the 1968 film Chitty Chitty Bang Bang, starring Dick Van Dyke and Sally Ann Howes. Although the windmill is privately owned, it remains one of Britain’s best-loved film locations and can be viewed from the village or by those wishing to take the scenic walk up the hill.

Enjoy around 3 hours free time

• Wander around the picturesque village.
• Visit St Mary the Virgin Church, familiar to fans of The Vicar of Dibley.
• Photograph the iconic windmill from the village or enjoy the walk up for spectacular Chiltern views.
• Relax with refreshments or lunch at the traditional Bull & Butcher Inn or one of the local cafés.

Blue Diamond Garden Centre (Worlds Ends)

At approximately 2pm  , rejoin the coach as we continue our journey to Blue Diamond Garden Centre. The journey takes approximately 35–40 minutes.

On arrival, enjoy 2 hours to browse one of the region’s finest garden centres. Whether you’re looking for seasonal plants, gifts, homeware, gardening inspiration or simply wish to relax with tea and cake in the restaurant, there’s something for everyone.This Garden centre does get busy however we have plenty of time to purhcase goods and can store items on the coach.

Homeward Journey

After an enjoyable afternoon, we depart the garden centre at approximately 4.45pm and begin our comfortable journey home, returning via your usual drop-off points during the evening.
