We have a wonderful holiday planned for you, with six days exploring the beautiful Isle of Wight, staying at the highly recommended 4-star Royal Hotel in Ventnor.
Our holiday includes some fantastic excursions, picturesque coastal towns, beautiful gardens, historic attractions and plenty of time to relax and enjoy the island.

We will be staying at the beautiful Royal Hotel, Ventnor, a charming 4-star hotel renowned for its excellent hospitality, elegant surroundings and lovely location.
Accommodation is on a bed and breakfast basis.

Please note that walk-in showers are extremely limited within the hotel and are therefore prioritised for guests with disabilities or mobility difficulties.
As the hotel is housed in a beautiful Grade II listed Victorian building, structural restrictions limit the number of rooms that can accommodate walk-in showers.

Payment details
£99 per person deposit – payable upon booking and non-refundable.
£676 per person balance – due by 30th April 2027.
I will send you an invoice for the outstanding balance nearer the time.
Please note that the balance must be paid directly into my bank account. It cannot be paid through the website, and unfortunately I am unable to accept credit card payments for the balance.
We are fully insured for all our holidays. However, we always recommend that you arrange your own personal travel insurance for additional peace of mind.
OUR PLANNED ITINERARY
DAY 1 – FRIDAY 1ST OCTOBER
Travel to the Isle of Wight
We depart Essex by coach and make our way to Portsmouth for our ferry crossing to the Isle of Wight.
- 12:45pm – Arrive at Gunwharf, Portsmouth
- 2:00pm – Ferry departs Portsmouth
- 2:45pm – Arrive at Fishbourne
- 4:00pm – Arrive at the Royal Hotel, Ventnor
Time to settle into our lovely hotel and enjoy the evening- The Spy Glass public house overlooking the English Channel is about 2 minute walk from the Hotel serving excellent food.
DAY 2 – SATURDAY 2ND OCTOBER
Osborne House & Gardens
Today we visit the magnificent Osborne House, once the much-loved holiday home of Queen Victoria and Prince Albert.
Enjoy exploring the beautiful house, stunning gardens and grounds.
- 10:00am – Depart hotel
- 10:45am – Arrive at Osborne House
- 4:00pm – Depart Osborne House
- 4:45pm – Return to hotel
DAY 3 – SUNDAY 3RD OCTOBER
Scenic Island Tour & Sunset at Totland Bay
Our scenic drive takes us through Shanklin, Sandown and Bembridge before arriving in Seaview.
There will be time to enjoy Seaview, with an optional coastal walk to Ryde for those who wish to take part.
We then continue to Cowes, famous for its sailing heritage, followed by a visit to the pretty harbour town of Yarmouth.
Our final stop is Totland Bay, where we hope to enjoy a beautiful sunset and an evening meal (not included in the price of this holiday) before returning to the hotel.
Please note: Dinner at Totland Bay is not included in the holiday price.

- 10:00am – Seaview
- 11:00am – Optional coastal walk to Ryde or coach transfer
- 11:20am – Free time in Ryde
- 1:15pm – Cowes
- 3:45pm – Yarmouth
- 5:00pm – Totland Bay for sunset and dinner
- 7:45pm – Return to hotel
DAY 4 – MONDAY 4TH OCTOBER
Carisbrooke Castle, Ryde & Shanklin
We then travel to Ryde, where you will have free time before enjoying a train journey to Shanklin.
Our coach will meet us at Shanklin Station and take us to the charming old village, famous for its pretty thatched cottages, traditional shops and tearooms.
- 9:00am – Depart hotel
- 9:30am – Carisbrooke Castle
- 12:10pm – Ryde
- 1:10pm – Train journey to Shanklin
- 1:45pm – Free time in Shanklin Village
- 4:05pm – Return to hotel
The rest of the afternoon is yours to enjoy Ventnor. Perhaps take a stroll towards beautiful Steephill Cove.
DAY 5 – TUESDAY 5TH OCTOBER
The Needles, Godshill & Bonchurch
Our first stop is the famous Needles, one of the Isle of Wight’s most iconic landmarks, with breathtaking coastal scenery.
We then continue to picturesque Godshill, a delightful village known for its thatched cottages, independent shops and tearooms.
Our final visit is to peaceful Bonchurch, with the option of walking back to the hotel for those who enjoy a stroll.

DAY 6 – WEDNESDAY 6TH OCTOBER
Homeward Bound
After breakfast, we say goodbye to the beautiful Isle of Wight and begin our journey home to Essex.
Hopefully, we will all be returning with wonderful memories of a fabulous holiday together.
