From 6th February – 20th February 2027, London will burst into life as the city transforms for the spectacular celebration of Chinese New Year, also known as Lunar New Year.
Following the traditional pattern, the world-famous annual parade through Soho and London’s Chinatown is expected to take place on:

Expect an unforgettable day packed with colour, culture and celebration — vibrant lion dances weaving through the crowds, dazzling dragons, bustling market stalls, and the irresistible aromas of festive street food filling the air. Chinatown’s much-loved restaurants will be serving special celebratory menus alongside traditional New Year dishes, making it the perfect time to indulge.
The parade begins at 10am, setting off from Duncannon Street, travelling up Charing Cross Road and down Shaftesbury Avenue before dispersing on Rupert Street. Throughout the day, Gerrard Place and Newport Court in Chinatown will be alive with stalls and entertainment.
Trafalgar Square plays host to the main festival stage, showcasing breathtaking acrobats, traditional opera performances, spectacular dragon dances and the thrilling flying lion dances. Along the parade route you’ll find even more stages, performances and an abundance of food stalls to enjoy.
