Mean Girls History

The 2004 hit film starring Lindsay Lohan and Rachel McAdams is still in the god tier of teen films 15 years later. The film remains just as popular as Queen Bee Regina George at North Shore High but needed some modern tweaks for the stage. This musical adaptation features the same characters and story we know and love, but with a modern twist as it has been updated to fit in with the trends of today.

Teens back in the early noughties were mean but, in this generation, smartphones, social media and teens go hand in hand. Meaning that this production is guaranteed to fit in with the social media era.

Mean Girls The Musical is based on Tina Fey’s screenplay for the 2004 film of the same name, which, in turn, drew inspiration from Rosalind Wiseman’s 2002 book, Queen Bees and Wannabes. The musical made its debut at the National Theatre in Washington, D.C., in October 2017 and later opened on Broadway at the August Wilson Theatre in April 2018. Unfortunately, due to the COVID-19 pandemic, the Broadway production concluded on March 11, 2020.

Additionally, there’s a film adaptation of Mean Girls The Musical currently in the works, set to be released in theatres on January 12, 2024. Mean Girls in the West End is sure to be just as in demand as on Broadway, so make sure to book your Mean Girls The Musical tickets as soon as possible.

This Theatre is located on the Strand and close to Covent Garden. Check my blog for ideas where you may wish to eat.

We usually arrive close to the Theatre around 4.45pm.  I suggest you book a meal for 5.15pm. We depart when the show ends.

You may bring a picnic for the coach  if you wish to, however,   I would ask you avoid any smelly foods and take your rubbish with you.

The drivers are in charge of our travel into London and whilst it maybe useful to assist the driver often sat navigation systems  we have will not suffice for the coach route so we leave the plan to the capable driver.

Please refrain from walking up and down the coach as this can be dangerous.  If you need to speak to me or the driver just pass a message down the coach – this is for your safety and the safety of other passengers.

I have high regard for my drivers and always ask customers if they would like to contribute to a non – obligatory gratuity  as a thank you from us.

Please complete the NOTES section on your if you have an additional requirements  I need to know without this section being completed I am unable to guarantee particular requests.

We will provide clear instructions where to meet the coach and the time we depart on the day.   If you are unable to meet the coach at the departure time the coach will still depart on time as stated to be fair to others on board.

Please can you take your seats swiftly on the coach – the driver can not leave until you are sitting down – this avoids hold ups en-route.

Please always take care when getting on and off the coach.
