On Saturday the 26th of July 2025 we are off to Southwold for the day.
Why is Southwold so popular?

- Visit the beach: Southwold has a blue flag beach with a promenade. Denes Beach is a large, dog-friendly beach with sand dunes that’s good for families.
- Explore the pier: Southwold’s 800-foot pier is home to the Under The Pier Show, an interactive arcade with games like “Whack-a-Banker” and Flydrive.
- See the lighthouse: The Southwold Lighthouse was built in 1887 to guide ships into the harbor.
- Visit the Sailors’ Reading Room: This grade II listed building dates back to 1864 and is a testament to Southwold’s maritime history.
- Go shopping: Southwold has many shops, including:
