Rye & Battle – Two-Centre Day Trip

Join us for a lovely two-centre day trip to historic Rye and Battle, giving you plenty of free time to explore both of these charming East Sussex towns at your own pace.

First Stop – Rye

We plan to arrive in Rye at approximately 11.30am, whe/ 11.45am ish – you will have free time until 3.00pm.

Rye is a beautiful historic town full of character, with picturesque old buildings, independent shops, cafés and traditional pubs. Take a wander through its atmospheric streets, browse the shops, enjoy a relaxing lunch or simply soak up the charm of this lovely town.

You will have around 3½ hours in Rye, giving you plenty of time for lunch and a leisurely wander before returning to the coach.

Please note: Rye has a number of cobbled streets and uneven surfaces, which may cause difficulties for passengers with limited mobility or walking difficulties. Please bear this in mind when booking.

Next Stop – Battle

We will then continue to Battle, arriving at approximately 3.20pm.

Famous for the Battle of Hastings in 1066, Battle is a fascinating historic town centred around the impressive Battle Abbey. The attractive High Street has a selection of independent shops, cafés and places to explore, making it a lovely spot for an afternoon visit.

You will have just over two hours of free time in Battle before our journey home.

The coach will depart Battle promptly at 5.30pm.
