To make you aware, when travelling via Dover, all passengers must now undertake EES checks at Dover cruise terminal at Western Docks, prior to heading to the usual check in place at Eastern Docks which will add a bit of time on…
When traveling from Dover to France, non-EU and Third-Country Nationals, including UK passport holders, will need to complete EES registration and biometric checks with French border authorities before boarding their ferry.

The EES is an automated IT system being introduced by the European Union to register non-EU nationals travelling into the Schengen Area. It will replace the current system of passport stamping with a modern, digital process designed to improve border security and efficiency.

On arrival in Dover coaches should proceed to the new coach facility at the Western Docks – CT17 9EQ
All passengers irrespective of passport will disembark for processing
  • Non-EU nationals should use one of the 24 self-service EES kiosks for EES registration (passengers will have to give passport information, answer short travel questions, and have a facial image and a scan of the fingerprints of the right hand) before being processed by PAF (French border authorities).
  • Where a passenger has already registered – then they will just require a quick fingerprint / photo check
  • EU nationals will be processed by PAF (French border authorities).
  • The coach will then be ‘sealed’ with a door sticker and should proceed to the Ferry Terminal for UK Border customs & security screening before check-in
