Join us for a wonderful day exploring the heart of the Cotswolds, where honey-coloured stone cottages, historic streets, charming tearooms and beautiful independent shops are waiting to be discovered.
Whether you love shopping, sightseeing, history or simply relaxing with a delicious cream tea, this is a day out not to be missed!
FIRST STOP – BEAUTIFUL BURFORD
Known as the Gateway to the Cotswolds, Burford is one of the area’s most picturesque towns, with its famous sloping high street and stunning historic buildings.
There’s plenty to enjoy during your visit:
- Browse the independent boutiques, gift shops, antique shops and traditional stores along the famous high street.
- Visit the beautiful St John the Baptist Church, known for its impressive architecture and fascinating history.
- Explore the charming side streets, historic cottages and hidden corners of this traditional Cotswold town.
- Treat yourself to morning coffee, homemade cakes or a delicious traditional cream tea.
- Enjoy lunch in one of the many welcoming pubs, restaurants or cosy tearooms.
- Discover the beautiful River Windrush and enjoy the peaceful surroundings.
- Visit Tolsey Museum, a small local museum housed in a historic building, if open on the day.

SECOND STOP – STOW-ON-THE-WOLD
Next, we travel to the delightful market town of Stow-on-the-Wold, one of the highest towns in the Cotswolds and famous for its beautiful historic market square.
There is so much to discover here too!
- Wander around the charming market square, surrounded by historic buildings and traditional Cotswold architecture.
- Browse the wonderful collection of independent shops, antique dealers, art galleries and gift shops.
- Visit the famous St Edward’s Church and discover its magical-looking north door framed by ancient yew trees — a favourite spot for photographs.
- Discover the town’s fascinating history as an important medieval wool-trading centre.
- Stop for afternoon tea, a slice of homemade cake or something delicious in one of the town’s welcoming cafés.
- Explore the little lanes, interesting shopfronts and beautiful honey-coloured stone buildings.
- Enjoy a refreshing drink in one of the traditional Cotswold inns before our journey home.
