This December, step into a festive wonderland as Holkham Hall transforms into a breathtaking display of Christmas splendour. As seen on Channel 4’s ‘Christmas at Holkham’, the Hall’s stunning state rooms will be beautifully decorated, designed by Lady Leicester and Christmas connoisseur Catherine Zoll.
The famous opening scene of Chariots of Fire (1981), where the athletes run along a stunning beach with the iconic Vangelis soundtrack, was filmed on Holkham Beach, part of the Holkham Estate. This breathtaking stretch of Norfolk coastline provided the perfect backdrop for one of cinema’s most memorable moments.

Our entry time into the house is 3pm.
Allowing around 2 hours for the tour we depart at 6pm giving further time to appreciate the outdoor light display.
