With comfortable coach travel, three nights at The Bristol Hotel and plenty of free time to explore, this is the perfect short break for anyone who enjoys sightseeing, historic towns, beautiful scenery and a relaxed itinerary.

DAY ONE – FRIDAY 11TH JUNE
Southend to Bath to Bristol

We begin our break with an early morning departure from the Southend area before travelling west towards the beautiful city of Bath.

We expect to arrive in Bath at approximately 1.00pm, subject to traffic conditions.

You will have free time to explore this famous historic city at your own pace. Wander through its elegant Georgian streets, browse the shops, stop for lunch or a coffee, or visit some of Bath’s many well-known attractions.

Later in the afternoon, we will rejoin our coach and continue the short journey to Bristol, where we will check into our hotel for the next three nights.

Our hotel is The Bristol, part of The Doyle Collection, ideally located on Bristol’s vibrant harbourside.

Once checked in, the rest of the evening is yours to enjoy at leisure.

DAY TWO – SATURDAY 12TH JUNE
Clifton and Bristol

After breakfast, we travel to Clifton, one of Bristol’s most attractive and characterful areas.

There will be time to explore and enjoy the surroundings, including the opportunity to see the world-famous Clifton Suspension Bridge.

We will then return to central Bristol, where the remainder of the day is yours to enjoy.

Explore the harbourside, visit one of Bristol’s museums or attractions, browse the shops, enjoy lunch in one of the city’s many cafés and restaurants, or simply relax and take in the atmosphere.

The day is yours to enjoy at your own pace.

DAY THREE – SUNDAY 13TH JUNE
Cheddar Gorge and Glastonbury

After breakfast, we set off for a fantastic day exploring Somerset.

Our first stop is the spectacular Cheddar Gorge, famous for its dramatic limestone cliffs and beautiful surrounding countryside.

Entry to Cheddar Gorge is included in the price of your holiday.

After our visit, we continue to the fascinating town of Glastonbury.

We may be a little early for the famous festival, but that gives us the perfect opportunity to enjoy the town before the festival crowds arrive.

Discover Glastonbury’s quirky independent shops, cafés, historic sites and unique atmosphere, or simply enjoy some relaxed free time exploring.

Later in the day, we return to Bristol for our final evening at the hotel.

DAY FOUR – MONDAY 14TH JUNE
Bristol to Didcot Railway Centre to Southend

After breakfast, we check out of our hotel and begin our journey home, but there is still one more highlight to enjoy.

We will stop at Didcot Railway Centre, where your train ride is included in the price of the holiday.

Step back in time and enjoy the atmosphere of this fascinating heritage railway, with the opportunity to explore its historic locomotives, railway buildings and exhibits.

Following our visit, we will rejoin the coach and continue our journey back to the Southend area, bringing our four-day break to an end.

Deposit: £99 per person at the time of booking

Remaining balance: £330 per person
