Treat yourself to a wonderful two-day seaside escape staying at Britain’s only five-star seaside hotel. Enjoy the elegance of The Grand Hotel, Eastbourne, together with a visit to one of Sussex’s prettiest villages, Alfriston.

Day One – Wednesday 2nd June 2027

We depart from Southend-on-Sea at 9.00am, travelling via my usual pick-up points before our final collection in Grays at approximately 10.10am.

Our first stop will be the beautiful Polehill Garden Centre & Nursery, arriving at approximately 11.00am. You’ll have plenty of time to enjoy a leisurely lunch (at your own expense), browse the wonderful garden centre, gift shop and plants before we continue our journey at 1.30pm.

We expect to arrive in Eastbourne at approximately 3.00pm, where the remainder of the afternoon and evening is yours to enjoy. Take a stroll along the elegant seafront, relax in the hotel, or explore the town at your own pace.

The rooms are all the same, group rates without an option to upgrade.

Our Hotel – The Grand Hotel, Eastbourne

Occupying a magnificent position overlooking the English Channel, this iconic Victorian hotel offers timeless elegance, beautiful lounges, sea views towards Beachy Head and first-class service.

Day Two – Thursday 3rd June 2027

After a leisurely breakfast we leave the hotel at 10.30am and travel the short distance to the delightful village of Alfriston.

Often described as one of the prettiest villages in Sussex, Alfriston is full of charm with its independent cafés, traditional tearooms, boutique gift shops and picturesque riverside walks. Enjoy a relaxing day exploring this beautiful village at your own pace.

We depart Alfriston at 3pm to begin our journey home arriving back in reverse order around 5.30pm (always subject to traffic conditions).

Holiday Price

£189 per person

Your holiday includes:

• Executive coach travel.
• One night’s accommodation at The Grand Hotel, Eastbourne.
• Bed and breakfast.
• Twin or double room accommodation inland rooms

Unfortunately, I am unable to offer single rooms.

Payment Details

• Deposit: £59 per person at the time of booking.
• Balance: £130 per person, due in March 2027. An invoice will be sent nearer the time.
